I write about and illustrate food in Chicago. My work has appeared in publications like Bon Appétit and TASTE.

I founded a quarterly print publication about the foodways of Asia, Dill Magazine, in 2017, which went on to gain international readership and a spot on The New York Times' 2018 "14 Food Titles You Need to Know."

I also write the weekly Substack newsletter, That One Dish, about Asian home cooking with a focus on third-culture and hybrid cooking.

If I'm not doing any of the above, you'll find me cooking and baking, tending to my hydroponic garden, traveling, learning languages, or curating my vintage cookbook collection.
